Welcome to Bamboo-bows.

Using traditional skills for bows that stand the test of time.

Traditional bows have had my interest for many years. I have been shooting and making bows for over 15 years and still I have not lost the spark. In the beginning these bows were made using a single piece of wood (selfbows). Later I began experimenting with laminating bows. This way you can create bows using other materials with different properties. A favorite of mine is bamboo. This species of grass has been used in bows and arrows for thousands of years and still works great! A special thanks goes out to Jaap Koppedrayer who taught me all about these bows.
